Hurricane Idalia currently a Category 1 with around 90mph winds is 230 miles from Tampa, Fl. It is expected to make landfall Wednesday morning as a category 3; experts are saying it is intensifying.

Beware of flood risks. DO NOT leave your pets tied or stranded in places likely to flood. Take your animals with you if all possible.

Search and rescue teams are currently on standby from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. REMEMBER, if the storm reaches a certain miles per hour, search and rescue teams will not be able to get to you until it slows down.

Current evacuations of 22 counties.

Major airlines have canceled hundreds of flights as Tampa International Airport suspended commercial operations Tuesday and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport Terminal building is set to close Tuesday afternoon.

Amtrak has canceled at least 12 East Coast routes and is modifying others.
